Nothing says SUMMER like 4th of July festivities, picnics, family fun, baseball, live entertainment and FIREWORKS!
We’ve got a list of all the places to find Independence Day Celebrations in Polk County, including Lakeland, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales, Lake Alfred, and even LEGOLAND Florida. All of the event names link to more information. Note that the events in Lakeland & Winter Haven take place on Monday, July 3rd, Mulberry’s celebration is on Saturday, July 1st, and all others are on Tuesday, July 4th.
If you prefer to skip the crowds, have little ones who won’t last until fireworks, or just want to relax after a day of picnics and barbecues, we also have a list of nationally televised fireworks shows at the bottom.

The T.Mims Corp. Red, White & Kaboom Independence Celebration will take place with live music at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade on Monday, July 3rd from 6:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a breathtaking fireworks display dazzling the crowd at 9 p.m.
Food trucks, live music, and fun. Bring a blanket and hang out along the amphitheater at the promenade. FREE to the public, everyone attending is encouraged to bring at least one food item to benefit Chow for Now, a canned food drive to benefit Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE).
One of the largest one-day family friend event in Polk County. Over 30,000 people come from Polk County and beyond to participate in the festivities, food, live music, games and shopping at craft and community booths. Event features entertainment, arts & crafts vendors, a beer garden, food concessions and children’s activities.The evening will wrap up with the largest fireworks display in Polk County.
General Admission is free, however, you may reserve premier seating tickets. These premier seats are located in front of the stage.
The Bartow Adult Concert Band kicks off the day with a patriotic concert at the Bartow Civic Center from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Admission is free and seats are first come, first served. Bartow’s annual 4th of July Celebration will be held at Mosaic Park, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy live music, food vendors, games, and much more. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate America by participating in America’s pastime, a game of baseball! The Flying Tigers play at 5pm on July 4th. There will be holiday picnic themed games, contests, music and fun. Tickets purchased in advance are just $6.00-8.75. After the game, enjoy a Bob Seger Tribute Concert, followed by the July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza at the newly renovated Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.

A Capitol Fourth is broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, before a concert audience of hundreds of thousands, millions more at home, and our troops watching around the world on the American Forces Network. Hosted by John Stamos, performers include The Beach Boys, The Blues Brothers, Sofia Carson, The Four Tops, Trace Adkins, Chris Blue from The Voice, and many more. LIVE on PBS on Tuesday, July 4 from 8-9:30pm.
Celebrating America’s birthday is a blast with NBC’s exclusive presentation of the annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The centerpiece of this breathtaking, 2-hour LIVE summer special is the nation’s largest patriotic pyrotechnic display, with over 40,000 fireworks illuminating the night sky over the Hudson River. The nation’s top musicians perform their hottest hits, and the biggest Hollywood stars are on hand to help honor Independence Day. Tune into NBC on Tuesday, July 4 at 8pm.
Tune in to CBS this year as the Boston Pops July 4 returns to National TV. Affectionately known as “America’s Orchestra,” the Boston Pops is the most recorded and arguably the most beloved orchestra in the country. Pop sensation Andy Grammer, American folk rock singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge and Leslie Odom, Jr., of Hamilton fame will perform on the BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, a two-hour entertainment special to be broadcast from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston on Tuesday, July 4 at 8:00PM on Bloomberg Television.
