The Polk County Health Department provides a range of services to children and adults including preventative care, comprehensive screenings, family planning, dental care, and more. If you do not have insurance, care is provided on a sliding fee scale.
ECHO Ministries helps families who are caring for children that aren’t their own. We seek to meet the physical and spiritual needs of foster families, relative/non relative caregivers, and adopting families through our donation centers and community outreaches throughout Central Florida and beyond.
Our urgent donation needs- boys clothes size 7 through teen, twin beds and bunk beds, socks & underwear size 4 through teen, pajamas size 4 through teen, cribs and toddler beds, diapers, Pullups, and wipes. Please email if you have donations.
Runaway, Homeless and Youth Crisis Shelters are there for children who often need an emergency œSafe Place.
Are runaway or homeless
Are œlocked out or œkicked out of their home by parents or guardians
Need short-term respite or crisis placement due to family conflict
Need emergency shelter placement due to abuse and/or neglect
Need emergency placement due to foster home placement disruption
Donations needed include clothes, shoes, school supplies, toiletries, games, sports equipment, etc. for ages 10 – 17.
