Better Together Community Job Fair

Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is hosting a community job fair for Lakeland-area residents on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The job fair will be supported by Life Source Community Church.

To date, the program has served over 10,000 children and kept 98% of families served through mentoring and hosting out of the state system, while helping nearly 40,000 job seekers across 24 states find employment. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.

Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite.
