In 2021, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra will become the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra with a renewed focus on its founding mission, reimagined for today’s audience.

The Gallery Concert Series will feature four ensemble concerts in the galleries at Polk Museum of Art.

The Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College is a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum presenting exhibitions from permanent and touring collections. Ensemble concerts will be performed in the gallery spaces with general admission seating. Wheelchair accessible seating is available.  Reserved seating.

OCT 14 @ 6 PM – Pictures at an Exhibition – Mussorgsky’s beloved Pictures at an Exhibition is reimagined for
wind ensemble.

DEC 16 @ 6 PM – Holiday in Brass – Trumpets and horns announce the joys of the holiday season.
Hear classic carols and modern favorites.

FEB 10 @ 6 PM – Baroque Strings – The Baroque era produced some of the earliest European music we consider familiar, like Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons or Pachelbel’s Canon.

APR 21 @ 6 PM – Opera in Concert – Hear a selection of favorite arias and popular Broadway performed by world-class artists.
