Lakeland area grocery stores have made changes to their hours to allow time for cleaning and restocking the stores. If you’re wondering when and where you can go shopping in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow, Auburndale, or nearby communities, here is a helpful list of grocery store hours!
Remember to keep a six-foot distance from other shoppers and to wash your hands immediately when you get home, or even better, take hand sanitizer to the store with you. Also, be kind, courteous, and patient – we are all a bit overwhelmed these days. Oh – and one more very imporant thing – tell your cashier, bagger, and any other store employees a big THANK YOU for their hard work.

Store Hours: 8 am – 8 pm every day
Guests age 65+ can shop from 7 am – 8 am on Tuesday and Wednesday
Store Hours: 7 am – 8:30 pm every day
Guests age 60+ can shop from 6 am – 7 am on Tuesday. (Or 1 hour before store opens if hours are different)
Store Hours: 8 am – 8pm every day
Guests age 65+ and high-risk customers can shop from 8am – 9am Monday through Friday.
Beginning Monday, March 30, Winn-Dixie grocery stores will extend shopping hours on Monday and Tuesday to add a special shopping hour from 8–9 p.m. dedicated to healthcare providers and first responders.
Store Hours: 9 am – 7 pm every day
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, ALDI stores will open at 8:30 a.m. and reserve the first hour of business for vulnerable shoppers. This includes senior citizens, expectant mothers and those with underlying health concerns.
Store Hours: 8 am – 9 pm every day
Guests 65+, pregnant women or those defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as vulnerable or at-risk can shop from 8 am – 9 am on Wednesday.
Store Hours: 9 am – 8 pm from Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm on Sunday
Starting Thursday, March 26, Sam’s Club locations nationwide will offer early shopping hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for seniors and those with disabilities or compromised immune systems. This includes Pharmacy and Optical Centers and will last until further notice. (*We have been told by readers that that this does not include pregnant women)
During special shopping hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., these members can also shop Sam’s Club without ever leaving their car. From a designated parking location, members in need can place their order from their car. Then, a Sam’s Club associate will grab the items on the list, and the member will use Scan & Go to check out.
