☀️ Feed the ducks – Lake Morton is the best place to find an abundance of birds. Take corn (canned, frozen or fresh), duck pellets (sold at pet stores), lettuce or greens, defrosted frozen peas, or birdseed. Bread is bad for the ducks and swans!
☀️ Circle B Bar Reserve – Look for alligators, eagles, and other amazing wildlife at Circle B Bar Reserve– named one of the “Top 51 Places in the US to See Wildlife” by USA Today! Entry is FREE. Toddlers will also enjoy exploring the Nature Center and playing in the “treehouse” inside.
☀️ Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden at Bok Tower – Children under 5 are free, adult admission only $15. Click here to read our review.
☀️ Mulberry Phosphate Museum – Dig for sharks teeth and fossils in the outdoor phosphate pile, then head inside to see the skeletons and shark teeth on display inside. Make sure you bring a small shovel or other item to dig through the rock pile, and something to sit on – you won’t want to kneel. (The phosphate pile is always open, visit the website for museum hours)
☀️ Little Free Library – find a little library around town where you can take a book and/or leave a book – for FREE! Clean out your bookshelves and leave a few at each location, and hopefully you’ll find something to take with you. Use the map at littlefreelibrary.org to find one near you.
☀️ Visit a Farmers Market – Pick up fresh local produce at a local market – there are 5 across Polk County that happen on various days during the week
☀️ Go on a picnic – One of our favorite locations is Peterson Park and then we walk the nature trails and boardwalks afterward.

Moms of Lakeland (formerly MOPS at Church at the Mall) reaches local moms with weekly gatherings where they will find biblical community and encouragement with other moms. Weekly gatherings include Bible study, guest speakers, brunch, and crafts while providing preschool childcare in a safe and nurturing environment. Moms of preschool and elementary aged children are welcome to attend! Childcare is available upon registration for children birth-preschool.
Moms United (MU) is an authentic and encouraging community of local moms; where you can come as you are and find support, connections and fellowship. Motherhood is a calling, and one you don’t have to walk through alone. If you’re looking for a FUN, purpose-driven and Christ-centered atmosphere; we invite you. MU of Redeemer meets on weekday mornings 2 times per month during the months of September through May. During our MU meetings, children are cared for in a program called MU Kids, where they experience love in a preschool-like setting.
We meet every other Wednesday at 9:15 for brunch and Bible study at Access church. Childcare is provided. Come join us!
Music Fun Time is an innovative and proven early childhood curriculum for kids 18 months to 7 years old. It’s based on Johns-Hopkins Research that children 7 and under can learn to read music notation and symbols, and play instruments, while fostering their ability to grasp math and science as they develop.
I believe a well-rounded approach to piano instruction is important. I teach technique, ear-training, sight reading, performance, theory, ensemble and accompaniment techniques, and improvisation. Whether students are headed toward music study at a university, or taking piano lessons for their own enjoyment, they will receive quality instruction in those 8 areas. WunderKeys program for ages 3-5.

North Lakeland Youth Soccer club is home to several recreational teams for both boys and girls ranging starting at age 4, as well as multiple competitive teams for both boys and girls that currently range from ages 10-17. Programs available year round.

The South Lakeland Babe Ruth League is a youth baseball program located at the Carter Rd Park in South Lakeland. Player ages range from 3 to 16 years old. The league is an affiliate of Babe Ruth League Inc. Boys and girls are welcome to play. All of our divisions are co-ed. Smart start for ages 3-4.

This interactive class is intended to facilitate learning at the preschool level.
