This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! While we can’t thank our teachers in person, we’ve got another way to honor them, social distancing style.

Join us in a community apple display to celebrate and honor ALL of our teachers in Lakeland and Polk County during Teacher Appreciation Week. Whether you have a student at home or just want to join in the fun, you can help us show some love to ALL of the teachers in our community!

1) Decorate your windows, doors, mailboxes, or other outdoor area with APPLES FOR TEACHERS. Make your own apples out of construction paper or other supplies, make a chalk apple display – get creative!  We’ve also got printable apple coloring sheets you can use.

{Mailbox or other outdoor display tip: Place your paper inside a ziploc bag, seal it, and then attach to your mailbox or other outdoor item.}

2) Post a photo of your creation or your apples on display in the discussion section of our Facebook event. You can also honor a specific teacher in the comments.

3) Send your photo to your teacher(s) to let them know how much you appreciate them!

We welcome EVERYONE in our community to put an apple on display this week, not just those with children in grade school.
