Polk County Parks & Recreation is hosting Good Ol’ Days Folk Festival on Saturday May 6, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Homeland Heritage Park. Come tour the historic buildings, participate in pioneer themed activities, enjoy spring treats while listening to live music provided by Ramblin’ Rose Trio. This event is free to public. Experienced whip crackers can participate in our annual whip cracking competition. Which will take place at 12:30 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee for this activity (cash only). All ages are welcome, but you must provide your own whip. Winners will receive a trophy and a prize.
