It’s the VISTE Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery Day!
Each year, volunteers will be needed to deliver 2,000+ meals to our local seniors. Many of these clients may otherwise spend the holiday alone, or would not prepare a meal for themselves. This is a great opportunity to give back during the holiday season.
Want to deliver a meal?
On the day before Thanksgiving (Wed, 11/27), volunteers will be needed to deliver meals to clients.
Volunteers MUST pre-register to deliver meals. Anyone interested in volunteering to deliver Thanksgiving meals should pre-register at https://viste.org/thanksgiving/. Children are welcome to volunteer with you!
Meal pick up is at the RP Funding Center – 701 W. Lime St. in Lakeland – VISTE will provide details on when and where to pick up the meals for delivery.
Looking for other opportunities to help?
Prior to the event VISTE holds the Green Bean Snap and “Operation Cranberry.” In addition, local schoolchildren decorate meal bags and placemats, and others create craft items to share. Contact VISTE to get involved.
