Join RP Funding Center this coming First Friday, hosting a celebration of a “2 de Mayo Fiesta” complete with a Mexican flare of colors, sounds and flavors. There will be fun for the entire family, with music features from “Mariachi Invasor d Mexico”, performing some festive classics. Come enjoy the taste of homemade tamales from “Sabor the Michoacan”, while young ones will be able to participate in braking of pinatas to collect sweets and Mexican flavor treats. Music will be playing throughout the evening, but will wrap up with the live band, “Cuban Son”, playing hot Caribbean tunes that will let you dance the night away! See you at the “2 de Mayo Fiesta”!
Downtown shops and restaurants will be open late. Don’t miss the Makers Market, featuring local artists and creators, on North Kentucky Avenue, Food Trucks on Pine St., and the Classy Car Show on Tennessee Ave. Streets are closed to vehicles, so come prepared to walk about!
First Friday is a family-friendly event held in the streets of Downtown Lakeland between Lemon Street and Oak Street along Kentucky and Tennessee Avenues. On-street parking begins to close in the event area at 3pm to allow us to clear the streets and set up the exhibitors and vendors.
