Before you fill out the form, please take a moment to review our guidelines below.

Summer Camps, Vacation Bible School, and recurring classes/lessons are NOT listed on our calendar. Please visit the contact us page for information on adding camps or classes to our website.

PLEASE CHECK OUR CALENDAR FIRST! We update 95% of the events on our calendar ourselves and may have already updated your event if the information is available online. Please save yourself the trouble and check to see if it is already listed. You can navigate to your event date to check or use the site-wide search function in the Menu.

Is Your Event a Good Fit?

We include events that are:

  • Community events that are FREE or low-cost (under $5 per person) — some exceptions apply
  • Events sponsored or hosted by a City or County (this includes libraries, special events, etc.)
  • Community events sponsored or hosted by a non-profit (ticketed fundraising events are reviewed on a case by case basis and are rarely included)
  • Special seasonal holiday events with free or low-cost admission
  • Live performances, concerts, and theatre shows put on by a school or community group, including colleges and high schools (OK if admission cost is over $5)
  • Located in Lakeland or Polk County

We do not list:

  • Recurring classes or summer camps (we have separate guides for those)
  • Political rallies or religious services
  • Private parties, fundraisers, or events without a public-facing link

Eligible for a listing with an advertising purchase:

  • Ticketed Events over $5 per person
  • Business promos, flash sales, or store openings
  • Vendor Shopping Events
  • Carnivals/fairs with ticket purchases required for rides

Tips for Faster Approval

✓ Use proper capitalization and punctuation. If you submit an EVENT TITLE or DESCRIPTION IN ALL CAPS, or input an address without capitalizing the street name or city, your event will not be published.

✓ Include a link to a public event page (Facebook or website) – this is required

✓ Fill out all event details (date, time, location, etc.)

Receiving a free listing on our calendar does not guarantee inclusion in our weekly newsletter or any social media promotion. We offer featured event promotions starting at just $400 per event.
