Whether your little fish is swimming for the first time or you just need a swim refresher, these group swim lessons will help give your kids confidence in the water for a safer swimming experience this summer.

The Lake Eva Aquatics Center offers a variety of swim lesson classes through the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program. Classes held May – September and taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors.

The City of Lakeland offers Swim Lessons in the spring & summer for ages 6 months and up. Lessons are provided in 2-week sessions, Monday – Thursday, each lesson is 30-45 minutes. Visit the City of Lakeland website for upcoming dates and times.

The City of Winter Haven offers swim lessons during the summer months at both Rowdy Gaines Pool and the Recreational & Cultural Center Pool.

During the summer months, Florida Southern College offers group swim lessons for ages 3 – 15. Lessons will be 30 minutes each, 5 sessions total, for 1 week. Levels range from beginner swimmers through swim team prep.
The Lake Wales Family Recreation Center (formerly the Lake Wales YMCA, now operated by Lake Wales Parks & Recreation) includes a large pool, weight rooms, and other health facilities.
Swim Dynamic is celebrating 12 YEARS of swim lessons! Offering an “accelerated teach-to-swim” program with five one-on-one sessions, 30 minutes each for five consecutive days in our heated pools in South Lakeland. Also offering Adult Swim Lessons, Mommy & Me, Special Needs Swim Lessons, and In-Home Lessons in your own pool.
As of February 2022, April Cox has retired from teaching swim lessons.
The Recreational & Cultural Center pool is an “L” shaped pool measuring 25 yards x 25 meters. Open to the public and used for swim instruction and recreational use from mid-May through August. Check website for operating hours & cost.
For over 50 years, the YMCA has been the only cause-driven wellness center in our area to offer programming for the whole family that focuses on the spirit, mind and body. Facilities include: a weight room, a gym for basketball and exercise classes, an indoor swimming pool, locker rooms, racquetball courts, a craft room, childcare facility, group exercise room, gymnastics center, and more. Programs include swim lessons, sports leagues for kids and adults, childcare, after school care, group fitness classes, and much more.
