With so much water around us in Florida, parents often start thinking about swim lessons before a baby can even walk. Infant survival swim lessons and ISR lessons are available starting at 6 months old.
Infants are taught essential survival skills in the water – how to rotate from face down to face up and float, rest, and breathe until help arrives.
Children ages 1-year-old and up are taught to swim – float – swim: swimming until they need air, rotating to their back to float and rest, and when ready, flip over to resume swimming to the edge of the pool.

We provide at-home swim lessons for kids and adults in your own pool. We can also provide group swim lessons at your location if parents want to have multiple kids in the lesson or want to invite friends.

Infant Swimming Resource’s Self-Rescue program teaches children from 6 months to 6 years of age how to survive if they were to reach the water alone. Focused on your child’s stage of development and readiness, each one-on-one ISR lesson is customized to your child’s abilities in the water.
Swim TOTTS offers survival swimming for infants and young children in Winter Haven and surrounding areas with a trained and certified Master Instructor. Lessons are available for infants and children ages 6 months to 6 years. All lessons are private.
The ISR program is for children 6 months to 6 years of age. Infant Swimming Resource’s Self-Rescue® swimming program is scheduled 5 days per week, for 10 minutes each day for an average of 6 weeks.
Veronica McNamee-Kerst – Certified Drowning Prevention Instructor – welcomes you to ISR, survival swimming for infants and young children ages 6 months – 6 years in Lakeland and parts of Polk County Florida. Every lesson for every child is individualized one on one with me, the instructor. I teach children ages 6 months to about 6 years old. Students attend short private lessons five days a week.
Survival Swim Lesson with lessons Monday-Thursday at a designated time. Lessons are 10 minutes of one-on-one instruction time and will take 6-8 weeks to accomplish the swim survival readiness of roll to float for children under 12 months or Swim Float Swim for children 12 months to 6 years.
