Family Fundamentals is changing its name! The grand opening of The Carol Jenkins Barnett United Way Children’s Resource Center is November 4, 2022, and classes will begin Monday, November 7th. The new center will be located at Bonnet Springs Park.
The Carol Jenkins Barnett United Way Children’s Resource Center is a collaboration of organizations committed to strengthening families and our community by increasing access and awareness to resources and services. This Success By 6 parent resource center is a warm, welcoming place where parents and other family members come to access information, support services, and the tools they need to be the best parents they can be. Community agencies offer services on site to provide a one-stop opportunity for parents. Parents come for one service or class and return for others.

Art Centric Studio is an art studio for children of all ages in Lakeland, Florida, providing them with authentic opportunities to make and create. The studio offers a wide variety of classes for ages 1-101! It’s based on Johns-Hopkins Research that children 7 and under can learn to read music notation and symbols, and play instruments, while fostering their ability to grasp math and science as they develop.
This interactive class is intended to facilitate learning at the preschool level. Join us as we dive into stories, splash and sing along with animated songs, and float our cares away with one-on-one time in the pool! During these small group sessions, parents and children will join us in the water for a short story and some sing-a-long fun as we navigate a series of themes. Each parent will be hands-on with their little one during this interactive class. {This is NOT a teach-to-swim class}
Swim Dynamic is celebrating 12 YEARS of swim lessons! Offering an “accelerated teach-to-swim” program with five one-on-one sessions, 30 minutes each for five consecutive days in our heated pools in South Lakeland. Also offering Adult Swim Lessons, Mommy & Me, Special Needs Swim Lessons, and In-Home Lessons in your own pool.
Tammy’s Dance Company offers dance classes for ages 18 months through adult and all levels (recreational and competitive levels).
