Many tree lots open the day after Thanksgiving, but a few open the Monday of Thanksgiving week! This family owned tree lot sells Douglas Fir, Blackhill Spruce, Concolor Fir, and Scotch Pine. CASH ONLY. They also host a Christmas Festival with an amazing walk through light display, movies, opportunities for photos with Santa and the Grinch, movies, and more beginning November 29.

BG’s Trees has black hill, fraser fir, scotch pine and white pine. They also offer flocked Christmas trees (faux snow is sprayed on the tree to make it look snow covered). In previous years they have also had lots in Winter Haven and Plant City. They announced on Facebook that due to a tree shortage, BG’s will not have any lots open in 2024.

We’ve had multiple readers tell us they love Mike’s Christmas Tree Farm, about a 45-50 minute drive from south Lakeland. Their Christmas Trees are cut fresh in Michigan. They also offer flocked Christmas trees (faux snow is sprayed on the tree to make it look snow covered).

Cut your own tree at Ergle’s Tree Farm! Many Lakeland Mom Readers have recommended Ergle Farms.
Purchase fresh hand made wreaths, Christmas cactus, Fraser fir real trees and other varieties of pre cut trees imported from up north. You can also choose and cut your own Christmas tree in their fields, which are Long Needle Pine and Southern Cedar varieties. Potted live Christmas trees – Southern Cedars, Leyland Cypress, and Carolina Sapphires – are also available at this Dade City Christmas Tree Farm. Plenty of free parking and no entrance fee!

Cut down your own tree at Lazy Lay Acres Farm. Sand pines and Red Cedar. They also sell trees shipped in from North Carolina which are Fraser Firs. They have workers in the field to help you out and if you want to cut your own they will help you get it started! No need to bring a saw they have everything you need to cut down a Christmas tree.

Cut your own Christmas tree in Florida! They provide the saw, they provide the live tree, and you get to do the cutting. Beautiful Florida Sand Pine, Red Cedar, and Arizona Cypress trees have been pampered and groomed all year. Over 17,000 trees to choose from. You can walk into the field, or hop on board the hayride for a tour of the 17 acres of Christmas holiday trees at Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest near Orlando.
Also available are Fraser Fir, Blue Spruce, Black Hills Spruce and Scotch Pine fresh cut and shipped in from North Carolina and Michigan. Trees from 3 to 13 feet are available. Wreaths, a gift shop, and potted Christmas trees will meet all of your holiday needs.

Artificial and Prelit Christmas Trees
For a tree that lasts from year to year, stock up on a pre lit tree or artificial tree from a Christmas tree shop or a local store. These days they look just like a live tree! You can find prelit trees nearby at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Michael’s, and lots of online shops.
