EVENT DETAILS

The Museum will be kicking off its annual Shark Week Comes Ashore with a shark tooth dig contest. How many teeth can you find in an hour?

Guests will compete in two ages categories: youth and adult. Free to compete. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the fossil gallery. Dig contest will start at 9:00 a.m. Winners will be announced in person and on social media. Winners do not have to be present to win.

Remember!!! It’s summer in Florida. Be prepared for the heat with sunblock and water.

(TIP – take a small hand shovel or something to move the rocks around, a towel or small blanket to sit on, and water – the dig pile is outside).
