Polk County School Calendar for 2027-2028: Public, Private, + Charter Schools

The Polk County School Board approved the tentative 2027 – 2028 Polk School Calendar {Florida} in February 2026. A copy of the calendar for future school years is below to help you plan out the academic year and schedule vacations or childcare for Polk County school holidays, staff development days, and other breaks. This calendar applies to all public schools in Polk County – high school, middle school, and elementary schools.

Charter schools (such as McKeel and some Montessori schools) and Private Schools all have their own calendars with different dates for the first day of school, last day of school, and holidays, links are listed below. 

Polk County Schools Calendar 2028 – 2028

Charter schools (such as McKeel and some Montessori schools) and Private Schools all have their own calendars, see below or check directly with your school for school calendars.

The 2027-2028 school calendar was APPROVED during the PCSB meeting on 2/24/2026. This calendar is for all Polk Public Schools (not charter schools or private schools), and could still change if hurricane make-up days are needed.

Spanish and Haitian Creole versions of the calendar are available on the PCSB website, as well as printable calendars. (TIP – click the Calendar Feed icon on the top right of the calendar to add all dates to your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar)

The Schools of McKeel Academy Calendar

The Schools of McKeel Academy (South McKeel, McKeel Central, Mulberry McKeel, McKeel Academy of Technology) have not yet published a calendar for 2027-2028. Please note that McKeel schools do not participate in early release days except for the final day of school if indicated on the calendar.
