On Saturday, April 18, Governor DeSantis and Polk County Public Schools announced that school campuses will remain closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. Distance learning will continue through May. Additional details can be found on the PCPS Website.

HELP LINE LAUNCHED – Polk County Public Schools has established a help line to assist students and families with technical issues related to distance learning. The help line is available at 863-614-1600 on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.


Polk County Schools originally announced that schools will be closed from March 16 – 27.

On March 17, Governor DeSantis announced that Florida school closures are extended through April 15.

On March 31, Florida school closures were extended through Friday, May 1.

On April 18, Florida school closures were extended through the remainder of this school year.

All state assessments (FSA & EOC’s) have been canceled for this school year.

Breakfast & lunch will be provided for pick up at specific school locations from 11am – 1pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday beginning April 13 (changed from 5 days a week). Click here for additional information on school lunch pick up.
