One of the most commonly asked questions we have received lately is “which playgrounds in Lakeland are open?” or “are any playgrounds in Lakeland open?” The answer is yes!
We are lucky to have an abundance of great parks and playgrounds in the Lakeland area. Local playgrounds are either operated by the city or Polk County, which means they are all reopening on different dates. Polk County reopened all playgrounds on May 26, the City of Lakeland reopened playgrounds on June 15, and other cities have different opening dates as well.
Below you’ll find local playgrounds listed under the operating entity. Click on the name of any park to see the address, photos, and get more details. We hope this helps you figure out which playgrounds in the Lakeland area are open for play!
Be aware that play equipment and picnic areas may not be monitored by staff nor disinfected during the ordinary course of the day.
