Sign up to bring your mini-DIYer into Lowe’s for FREE kids workshops with a new theme each month. From wooden bird feeders to fire trucks, interactive games to holiday gifts, every month your local store highlights a different project and gives you a free kit with all the materials needed.
Each Lowe’s Kids’ Workshop is a free in-store event designed to inspire the next generation of builders while growing their confidence and DIY skillset. The recommended ages for Lowe’s DIY Kits are 4-11 but all ages are welcome, the supervision of a parent and/or guardian is required for all participants. Lowe’s DIY Kids’ Workshops and free take-home kits are available to anyone who registers, no purchase is required.

Lowe’s Kids Workshop Details
Workshops are hosted by a Lowe’s expert on Saturday mornings once a month. Registration is required, you’ll select time slots from 9:00am – 12:00pm and have a 1 hour window to come in and enjoy a hands on project with your kiddos alongside other workshop participants. {We don’t know how strict the times are, check with your local store if you have a scheduling issue}.
If you prefer to build your kit at home, you can also choose the 12:00pm – 8:00pm time slot and stop by to pickup a Lowe’s kids workshop kit from the Customer Service Desk and enjoy building your kit at home.
The best part is that there is a new kit for every workshop, so set a reminder to register and enjoy a free DIY kid’s project each month!
Lowe’s Kids Workshop Registration
All registration is done on the Lowe’s site – look for the KIDS tab. You’ll need to select a store near you and then register for an upcoming kids workshop. There is typically only one workshop open for registration at a time, although sometimes the next 2-3 months’ projects are also shown. Registration opens at 12:01am EST on the registration date listed.
We’ve seen some free Lowe’s kids workshops fill up the day they open, and others still have space available just a few days out from the workshop date. If your regular Lowe’s store is full and you don’t mind driving, you can always check a nearby Lowe’s for kids’ workshop openings.
