Harry Potter Online Games, Activities, Trivia, and an Escape Room for Kids & Adults

Harry Potter Online Activities

If you have a Harry Potter fan at home, or maybe you dream of being a wizard yourself, you can add a touch of Harry Potter magic to your days with Harry Potter games.

These free Harry Potter online activities – websites, apps, printables, Harry Potter house quiz, and even a Harry Potter escape room – will provide your kids (or you) with hours of magical Hogwarts themed fun. This will have to tide us over until we can visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal again!

We’ve also got details on how you can read Harry Potter books for free, how to stream Harry Potter movies, and even a few things you can get delivered from Amazon to round out your Harry Potter experience.

Harry Potter Games

Two Harry Potter games online under the Portkey Games section.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is your very own adventure in the Wizarding World. Choose your story, learn magical spells, and duel against rivals in a magical journey.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
From the makers of Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the real-world augmented reality (AR) game inspired by the Wizarding World that puts magic in the hands of players worldwide.

Both games (along with many others) are available for iPhone and iPad from the App Store, as well as Google App Store.

Harry Potter Escape Room

You can try your hand at an online virtual Harry Potter Escape Room for free! Developed by the staff at Peters Township Public Library in Pennsylvania. Your wizard-obsessed kids can work through a series of questions to and explore how to properly execute spells. Their Hogwarts knowledge will come in handy as they explore the halls or visit the House common rooms. It is also designed for Muggle Families who consider themselves Wizards and want to try the escape room as a group. We did it last night – it took about 15 minutes, my 9 and 11 year old could do it by themselves.

The Harry Potter Escape Room is run through a Google doc – click here to get started on your Harry Potter themed adventure.

  • Buzzfeed (requires some Harry Potter knowledge)
  • TIME Magazine (21 question quiz based on established personality tests)
  • Brainfall (12 questions in a “would you rather” format)

Harry Potter Movies

What better way to spend a full day or weekend than a Harry Potter movie fest! The Harry Potter Movies in order are:

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Harry Potter on Amazon

We’ve got a large selection of Harry Potter toys, games, Harry Potter video games, and books at my house. My 9 year old son has multiple Harry Potter LEGO sets, and he’s had lots of fun with the Invisibility Cloak (yes – it really does work!) A few of our favorites are listed below.

The internet is filled with ideas for Harry Potter crafts, Harry Potter DIY costumes, Harry Potter party ideas, and more, a quick Google search will have you on your way to days of Harry Potter themed activities you can do at home!
