Camp Light-A-Spark is a summer day camp for rising Kindergarten through 5th graders. A normal day at Camp-Light-A-Spark usually starts with center time where kids get to choose from a variety of activities including playing make-believe, board games, or Legos. Groups then break off to work on academic enrichment, group reading time, or outside play. Lunchtime is followed by a movie or quiet reading to allow for some rest time. Then, it’s time for a group activity such as an art project or science experiment, with more outside playtime. And Thursdays are always field trip days!
Activities are led by trained, adult staff who not only supervise our kids but engage with them as well. Our academic-based activities are designed to help prevent summer backslide in school. Math, science, reading, and writing activities are shared in fun and creative ways; curriculum and hands-on activities follow Florida Standards and are grade-level appropriate.

Our school strives to instill the basic life virtues of discipline, respect, integrity, and confidence. These qualities have been the foundation of the martial arts student since the beginning. The staff of Family Martial Arts Center helps reinforce each quality trait through Leading by Example. Our children of the future need positive role models that will set the right example. Our instructors make this the first priority.
Summer Day Camp Activities include theme parks, bowling, Family Fun Center, swimming, state parks, and go-carts just to name a few. Some of the activities are free and others have an additional cost. Field Trips are OPTIONAL and students not attending the day’s activity will enjoy a fun day at the studio.
