Camp Light-A-Spark is a summer day camp for rising Kindergarten through 5th graders. Enjoy 10 full weeks of summer exploration with Camp Fire! Come for select weeks or the whole summer!
NEW IN 2022: Mini-Camp – Mini-Camp will run Monday-Wednesday weekly, and is an alternative to the full week Light-A-Spark Camp. This may be a great option for younger campers or families who do not need everyday childcare during the summer.
A normal day at Camp-Light-A-Spark usually starts with center time where kids get to choose from a variety of activities including playing make-believe, board games, or Legos. Groups then break off to work on academic enrichment, group reading time, or outside play. Lunchtime is followed by a movie or quiet reading to allow for some rest time. Then, it’s time for a group activity such as an art project or science experiment, with more outside playtime. Check the Camp Fire website for this year’s weekly themes.
Activities are led by trained, adult staff who not only supervise our kids but engage with them as well. Our academic-based activities are designed to help prevent summer backslide in school. Math, science, reading, and writing activities are shared in fun and creative ways; curriculum and hands-on activities follow Florida Standards and are grade-level appropriate.
FIELD TRIPS: The full weekly camp includes 3 field trips each week, Mini-Camp will include 1 field trip per week.

Camp Gilead is a year-round Christian Camp and Retreat Center that has served central Florida since 1938! We exist to glorify God by creating an atmosphere for individuals to evaluate their relationship with Christ and be challenged to make decisions resulting in changed lives.
It is a safe place filled with opportunities to be challenged both physically and spiritually while making lifelong friends. In fact, many return year after year because they cannot bear the thought of a summer without being a part of the action at camp, seeing their friends, and being spiritually refreshed.
Each child’s health and safety are top concerns. All activities are under the direction of trained Christian staff who live in cabins with campers. Trained first-aid personnel and certified lifeguards are also on duty.
