Fall Family Fun – Harvest Holler Corn Maze, Hayride and Farm in Polk County

Harvest Holler Corn Maze

Fall in Polk County wouldn’t feel complete without a trip to Harvest Holler Corn Maze & Farm! Harvest Holler is located in Polk City, near Lakeland, Winter Haven, and Auburndale. It is a family-friendly a-maze-ing fall activity the entire family will enjoy.

Wander through the twists and turns of the corn maze, take a hay ride to see the cows and horses, play on the playground and tire swings, ride the cow train, visit the pumpkin patch, and be sure to take plenty of pictures at all the fall themed photo spots. It’s the kind of place where kids can run free, parents can relax, and everyone can enjoy the fall farm vibes.

The 2025 season runs weekends from September 19 through November 16, plus weekdays for field trips and group reservations.

Don’t miss our Ultimate Guide to Fall & Halloween Activities for a full list of fun things to do this fall in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Polk County, and Central Florida including pumpkin patches, corn mazes, haunted houses, Halloween events, trunk or treats, drive-thru Halloween attractions, trick or treat details, and more.

One ticket gives you access to a full lineup of classic fall fun:

Corn Maze – Everyone in the family can wander through the 7-8’+ high stalks of corn as you try and find your way out!

Hayride – There are plenty of seats and hay bales on the hayride that will take you on a tractor-pulled ride out into the cow and horse pasture. Be prepared to get up close and personal – the cows and horses will come right up to the wagon looking for a treat!

Cow Train – Hop aboard for a wild ride! Kidding – it’s totally safe for kids and adults, I even went for a ride. This was one of the kids’ favorites and mine too. {photo at bottom}

Farm animals – You’ll find hens, roosters, pigs, cows, and more in the farm animal area.

KT’s Mini Moos – Meet the lovable and adorable mini cows with KT’s Mini Moos. Private cuddle and photo sessions are also available during Corn Maze weekends – register on site.

FRANK-N-SLIDE – this tractor turned play set is awesome! It has multiple slides for kids of all ages.

Corn Hole – Multiple corn hole boards await a good family competition!

Tire Swing, Hay Bales & Mini Golf – The kids will enjoy climbing on the HUGE bales of hay, swinging on the tires, and hitting around the farm related obstacles in the mini golf area.

Corn Tubs – Kids can take off their shoes and “swim” in two tubs of corn kernels, located in the Kids Pavilion.

MANY photo opportunities – There are plenty of areas to capture the memories from your day on the farm, from a painted fall backdrop, to a rusty tractor, to the hay bales & pumpkin patch.

While admission includes the maze, hayride, farm activities, and play areas, some items are an additional cost:
Pumpkin Patch – Small, medium and large pumpkins are available to purchase from the pumpkin patch.

Paw-Paw’s Vittles – TRUST ME when I say – get the sausage dog! Quite possibly the best sausage I’ve ever had. Their grill also serves hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries, boiled peanuts, and corn on the cob. Plus true southern sweet tea and lemonade. Prices are SO reasonable and food is cooked fresh while you wait (so realize you might have to wait a few!)

Maw-Maw’s Country Store – Fresh baked pies! Need I say more?? They also sell cobbler, local honey, homemade jams, jewelry, accessories, and a variety of gift items.

Here’s what I’ve learned (and what other Polk County moms often say) to make the most of your visit:

Best times to go: Saturdays get busy. If you want fewer crowds, try Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons. Golden hour (just before sunset) also makes for the best photos.

Dress smart: Closed-toe shoes are a must—parts of the farm can be dirty or muddy. Wear outdoor clothes so kids can play (and a change of clothes OR be sure to do photos first!)

Shade: There isn’t much shade on the farm, so bring hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen if you’re visiting during the day.

Strollers: The parking lot is gravel, and paths are dirt and grass. A stroller with “offroad” wheels works best, but baby carriers are even easier.

Food & snacks: Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed. Eat before you arrive or plan to grab something on site.

Bring cash: Cards are accepted, but cash can be quicker for food and pumpkins.

Photo ops: There are plenty of cute backdrops—pumpkin stacks, hay bales, rustic tractors. Pack a small blanket if you want to sit for family pictures.

Signage: Harvest Holler is privately owned, and the family generously opens their farm to the public each fall. In past years, visitors have given us feedback regarding political signs posted on the property. These reflect the owners’ personal views and not the activities or atmosphere of the event itself. The focus is very much on wholesome, family-friendly fun.

Harvest Holler is a true family farm, lovingly run by a hard-working family who opens their property each fall so local families can enjoy a slice of country life. The owners and their helpers are happy to share stories about the animals and the farm, and they make sure visitors feel welcome.

Keep in mind, this is agritourism at its best—you won’t find inflatables or over-the-top attractions, but you will find wide-open spaces, plenty of animals, a corn maze, hayrides, and good old-fashioned fun. All the activities are included in admission (pumpkins, food, and store items are available for purchase).

With so many things to do—farm animals, corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, tire swings, cow train, hay mountain, mini-golf, and more—you’ll want to plan at least 2–3 hours for your visit.

If you’re looking for an authentic fall outing close to home, Harvest Holler is one of the best spots in Polk County to make memories with your family.
