I am a USTPA certified tennis instructor, with extensive experience in education. Like in the classroom, motivation is key to success on the court. I’ve created a unique program that transforms tennis training into thrilling competition!

Adventures Archery in Lakeland has an indoor archery range that features 20 lanes – 12 for adults and 8 for children. Rental equipment is available. (Note that children must be able to use bow and arrow completely unassisted. ALL children under the age of 18 years MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times). Private lessons and group classes are also available at Adventures Archery for ages 5 & up.

Beginners & Intermediates Welcome! Fall & Spring Seasons offered. We have teams consisting of Elementary, Middle School & High School Girls, divided by age and gender. Grades K-12 are eligible to play.

Christina Girls Softball has a Spring and Fall Season for girls from 4 to 16 years of age. Along with a recreational league, they have Travel Ball Teams that play competitive softball. No zoning restrictions. Accepting players from all over central Florida and have had players from all over Polk County, Hillsborough County, and Hardee County.

Bartow Parks & Recreation offers youth tennis lessons, youth basketball leagues, camps for youth, as well as adult basketball and fitness programs.

The Carver Recreation Center located in Bartow, FL has an Adult Co-Ed Basketball League dedicated to giving the Polk County community a recreational, but competitive adult league that is open to anyone eighteen (18) or older. Each season is eight-weeks long and registration is available for both teams and free agents/individuals. Team jerseys, balls, and officials are provided by Bartow Parks & Recreation with games taking place every Wednesday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The league format is 5 v 5 , maximum of 8 players rostered with every team making the playoffs.

Kelly Recreation Complex is a 30,000+ square foot facility that provides a variety of features and offers the residents of Lakeland (and visitors) access to a diverse selection of recreation activities. Programs offered at Kelly Rec include pre-ballet for kids, adult dance classes (latin, swing, belly dance, line dance, salsa), martial arts, basketball, chess, sewing, guitar, etiquette, and more.

Simpson Park Community Center Features: Two (2) multipurpose rooms, Game room, Kitchen, Separate men’s & women’s weight rooms, Study hall facility, Computer center, Spacious gymnasium which houses two full-size basketball courts, Tennis court, Two (2) basketball courts, Playground, Softball field.

This indoor/outdoor facility allows the Parks and Recreation Department the opportunity to provide comprehensive recreation programming to suit the varied needs and interests of the North Lakeland Community. Instructional classes, sports leagues, recreational play, fitness and special event programming ensure constant activities.

Simpson Park Pool is also located at the Community Center and is open seasonally from late Spring through early Fall.

The Beerman Family Tennis Complex has 18 lighted hard surface tennis courts and two (2) three-wall racquetball courts.  Group tennis lessons are offered for both beginner and intermediate players beginning at age 5 and continuing through adult lessons. The beginner classes teach fundamentals while the intermediate classes focuses on skill improvement.

Cool Breeze Baseball Academy offers pitching, catching, hitting conditioning and team training with Benny Castillo – former MLB player and manager.

The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team was started by former waterskiers from Cypress Gardens Theme Park who want to pass on their show skiing legacy to the next generation. Join us at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Lake Silver in downtown Winter Haven the third Saturday of each month for our FREE family-friendly ski shows!

East Lakeland Baseball runs both a Fall and Spring Baseball League. T-Ball begins at age 4.

Elite Cable Park has closed permanently. ECP offers an active, watersports lifestyle that is safe, healthy, family friendly, and environmentally conscious. Open daily to the public for wakeboarding, waterskiing, lessons, rental equipment and memberships. They also host birthday parties and group outings, offer private and group lessons, as well as summer camps.

Coyotes Youth Lacrosse is dedicated to building a world-class recreational youth lacrosse program for both boys and girls. We aim to serve the growing needs of new and developing players, from kindergarten to 8th grade, with year-round lacrosse offerings. Three unique opportunities to play lacrosse in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Open to boys and girls ages U8-U14, grades K-8. Located at the Fishhawk Sports Complex in Lithia, FL.

Galindo Tennis offers a progressive training philosophy that was designed to properly develop players of all ages and skill levels. Our Junior Development program is designed for children ages 5 – 12 while our High Performance program caters to children ages of 13 – 18. For players who want personal training, we also offer Private Lessons. All of our Junior Programs run year round.

Hoopsters basketball league for boys and girls ages 5-15 from Jan – March. Teams will practice one night per week and games are played on Saturday mornings. Also offering High School Varsity Basketball League, Co-Ed Volleyball and Men’s Basketball leagues.

For more than 25 years, Swan City SC (formerly the Lakeland Tropics FC) has served the Lakeland community through the game of soccer. Swan City SC is a not-for-profit organization, committed to providing a superior soccer experience for all of the area’s youth by offering highly competitive recreational and travel team opportunities. This commitment is accomplished through an organization of volunteers and soccer professionals, who administer the training programs.

Youth soccer age 4-12 years old. Youth track 4-17 years old. Basketball 3rd grade to 8th grade.

Recreational youth baseball organization for boys and girls from ages 4 -15 years old. Fall season includes 2 weeknight games, Spring Season includes one weeknight game and one Saturday game. Games are played at Peterson Park (age 4-10) and Lake Bonny/Fletcher Park (age 11-15). Buddy Ball League is for boys and girls with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, ages 5 and up.

The Mission of the Lakeland Destroyers is to provide the youth of the greater Lakeland area with a youth football & cheerleading experience that they can take with them through high school and the rest of their adult lives. Flag Football for ages 4-6, Tackle Football for ages 7-14, Cheerleading ages 4-14.

The Lakeland Eagles organization is a youth football and cheerleading league for ages 5-14. Games and Practices are held at George Jenkins High School. Our mission is to provide a safe and sound environment for our youth from age 5-14. TCYFCC’S goal is to provide safe, enjoyable athletic competition, good sportsmanship and fun development for each of our leagues and their student athletes.
